| Customer Reviews: Great for my needs April 2, 2010 R. Bossarte 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this mainly to do salsa and I love that it fits everything I need right in through the openings. It comes with 3 blades for different styles, cleans up amazingly easy by hand or is dishwasher safe. I love the suction cups on the bottom to keep it from sliding. I also love the capacity, it holds a lot of stuff so I don't have to stop, empty it and start up again. It's a little loud on medium and high speed, but I only use it for short times so it doesn't bother me. I've had this for a little over a month now and am very pleased.
Not too happy January 28, 2010 Andrea Impink (Cary, NC United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this as a replacement for a previous Black & Decker food processor I had for years. My husband bought it because it has such a large cup size and I like to make large batches of salsa. The only problem? Something isn't right with the blades. I had to keep stopping and stir things around with a spoon before I started it up again. Just to get larger chunks chopped, I had to keep it blending for much too long and ended up with a soupy salsa with huge chunks of tomatoes that NEVER fully chopped. Even though the hopper can handle large pieces of food, the blade can't. I was using it for a smaller task today and it just splashed the contents all over the inside of the container. It didn't adequately blend it. I had to scrape down the sides (and inside lid)and put it in a blender to get the result I wanted. Wish I could just get my old processor fixed (sigh).
