Brews great coffee, just like the $30 ones August 26, 2009 jonny I. (Atlanta, GA United States) 18 out of 19 found this review helpful
Glass container. Check. Stainless steel filter and plunger. Check. Nylon enclosures. Check. Why pay 3 times more for the same product?
Amazing coffee for $10! Are you kidding me? December 1, 2009 W. Bost (Los Angeles, CA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
A friend recommended I try a French Press and based on the reviews and not wanting to spend a lot, I got this one. Wow! This thing is perfect. Extremely simply to use. Sturdy construction. Works like a charm. GREAT coffee. I will never go back to the pot, and don't waste your money buying more expensive Presses. This one rocks!
Score - cheap coffee maker November 20, 2009 Vicar (Arlington, VA) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought this skeptical of the very low price compared to others - as of this time, it's $10 when other coffee presses of this type are going for $20-40. Note that the "cup" of coffee referred to is 4oz, so if you're like me the 6 cups is actually about 24 oz or one cup (ok 2, but I don't have just one).
The glass has already sustained a drop, the pieces come apart easily to clean, and...and it's only $10! I'm buying another for my partner - I highly recommend this for the price. No downside detected yet.
Superb coffee for the non-drip crowd. March 14, 2009 John Tripp (Astoria, NY) 11 out of 14 found this review helpful
After drinking more bad coffee than should be allowed at the advertising agency I work (those disposable plastic thingies) I sprung for this coffee press and haven't looked back since. Not my first press but the others broke too often, this one seems a lot more durable and makes two large cups of coffee (not sure where the 6 comes from). I get my coffee ground for filters since I like it strong and just wait a little longer for the "mud" to settle. For those unaccustomed to the heavier texture of the coffee from a press it takes some getting used to but I gotta say, this stuff rocks!
It's a coffee press February 1, 2010 Andy W. Skwarek 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a good solid coffee press. It makes coffee. It seperates the coffee from the grounds. It is big enough for me to fill up my 24oz travel mug in the morning and still have a little left for the missus. Simply effective. Easy to clean. If you want something more from a coffee press you don't understand coffee presses. It makes coffe or tea depending on what you put into it.
