Amazon.com Review Cuisinart's PowerPrep Plus gives new meaning to the term "cutting edge." This premier kitchen workhorse is streamlined, so the base looks less boxy and the processor more sleek and unobtrusive than ever on the counter. In addition, the rounded shape makes cleaning easier--no more sticky crevices and corners. But it's more than just looks that put the PowerPrep Plus in a league of its own. The 14-cup work bowl has a huge capacity, holding up to 3 pounds of bread or cookie dough or more than 2 pounds of meat, which means less parsing out of batches and more consistent mixing overall. Also, the wide-mouth feed tube gobbles up whole fruits and vegetables, which means less prep work. The powerful direct-drive induction motor base has touchpad controls with indicator lights and a special alternate speed for bread kneading. This model comes with all the basic accessories, including slicing and shredding discs, a chopping/mixing S-shaped blade, and the fabulous PowerPrep metal dough blade (all are stainless steel), plus a plastic spatula, recipe and instruction books, and a 45-minute how-to video--complete with pizza dough secrets from the Culinary Institute's chef-instructor Bill Briwa. The 2-1/2-foot cord can be wrapped underneath, and all detachable parts are dishwasher-safe. The food processor measures 8 by 11 by 15-1/2 inches and carries a full 10-year motor warranty with a limited three-year warranty on the entire unit. --Erin Brown

I bought the Cuisinart DLC-2024CHB/14 cup processor. Love it. The power is impressive and the holding tank is large enough. I can soups, etc. and this makes it very nice to be able to chop all the vegetables in the same bowl. I change the blade for shredding or larger slicing and don't have to empty the bowl as the bowl size is great.
I made a bunch of marinara sauce and ground the fennel seeds in it; however, that discolored the plastic holding bowl---haven't tried other ways to clean it yet--just hand washing.
I use it enough to leave it out on the counter--it is a little heavy.
Cuisinart still the best March 16, 2009 S. Williams (Sewickley, PA) 18 out of 19 found this review helpful
When my 30-year-old Cuisinart DLC finally died I wanted to find a reliable replacement. At first I was intrigued by the KitchenAid KFP750, but too many customer reviews complained that the bowl didn't have enough capacity for liquids. Since I often use my food processor to make soup, this was a big negative. I bought the Cuisinart DLC-2014 PowerPrep and have been extremely happy with it. No liquid overflow, and the same high-quality slicing, chopping etc that I have come to expect from Cuisinart. Besides, the streamlined design looks great!

A great labor saving device, easy to operate, simple to assemble, and disassemble to clean. No whirring motor sound as one might find with other manufacturers. The instructions and suggestion manual is well written, well illustrated and offers many applications that result in stellar results. If you are going to purchase a food processor this larger one does it all and will repay the price in satisfaction immediately.

Absolutely spectacular! Received in time to use to make several salsas etc. from fresh produce. It is heavy duty and so easy to wash in the dishwasher. I am so pleased!
Smooth, Powerful and compact May 9, 2010 L. Shoff (Salem, Oregon USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We got this recently based on comparisons of Amazon reviews and also looking at specifications of others.
One thing that attracted this to me is the induction motor. I want one that is powerful, as I've actually overheated
the one that this has replaced and got the motor to smelling hot while doing dough.
Haven't done a batch of dough yet, but I plan on doing so.
This has plenty of power, but is smooth. It is well balanced, and therefore, does not move around a whole lot while under power.
One handy thing that my Wife discovered is that if you put little cardboard pieces under the rubber feet, it will not leave black marks on the counter
when you slide it in and out. It also makes it move a little smoother.
For the capacity and power, it fits nicely on our counter top in it's own little corner.
Fit and finish on the product seem to be good. I was a trifle alarmed to discover that it's made in China. We'll see how that works.
I sent in the registration card so if something goes wrong, I'll be getting a hold of them.
But so far I've sliced vegetables up, done several grinding and chopping jobs, and the machine takes them smoothly and in stride.
Using the slicing attachments worked well, they attach safely with a lot of built in safety mechanisms, and do not vibrate excessively.
It comes with a pretty nice DVD you can watch to show you how different processes work as they do several recipes there.
I intend on this being a kind of legacy appliance, one I shall have for a number of years and help us out with cooking. That was my intent.
So far I like it. We also got the blade cabinet to hold its attachments, and that works out well. They fit nicely in this, but if you have a smaller machine, some of your blades and such may
not fit in this unit so beware..
All in all, I don't regret purchasing this one bit, and love it so far...
