EXPENSIVE BUT WORTH IT! September 25, 2000 M.Williams (Holmes Beach, Fl United States) 32 out of 33 found this review helpful
I'll preface this by saying that I have cooked professionally for almost 15 years. Before ordering this massive processor, I checked out almost everything comparable. I am delighted with my selection. This processor is very powerful. If you have a large family or do a lot of entertaining, this one is for you. The work bowl is massive, and batters don't slop out. The motor can handle multiple batches of cookie dough. You can turn out cake batter in no time, and in big quantities. I went for a big processor as I have a large family. Several years ago I catered my daughter's wedding reception, and how I wish I had this processor at that time. Now it's easy to produce huge amounts of pesto, knead multiple recipes of bread dough, and slice tons of veggies. This product is a TOTAL WINNER!
A life-time purchase March 27, 2001 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
I purchased this wonderful food processor about fifteen years ago and it continues to be by far my favorite kitchen appliance. I used it more often when my children were at home but even now use it almost every day and always for party preparations. It will quickly mix 5 pounds of bread or cookie dough. It's very sturdy and the only replacement needed was a new cutting blade after about 10 years of use - pretty good! I'm not a professional chef but using this wonderful machine makes me feel like one. Hooray!
Cuisinart DLC-X Plus September 5, 2007 Chester County Dilettante (Chester County, PA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this model close to 20 years ago - if the motor is essentially the same, it is a very study addition to your kitchen. I use mine quite a bit. The lexan bowls have been replaced several times - they crack - and are almost as expensive as a cheaper, smaller Cuisinart. But if you want the best home model food processor, this is worth every penny.
Best investment ever January 3, 2008 C. Saxon 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this thing on a fluke in the mid 1980's. I walked into a Sams Club and saw a stack of these that said "one time buy". It was only $250! Now I wish I had bought them all. Needless to say this thing handles every thing you can throw at it without effort.
It's still running strong after 20 years without any trouble. The Lexan lid is beginning to spider crack but hasn't failed yet. I suspect I'll have to replace it eventually. This is the best made appliance I've ever owned.
Excellent Machine April 6, 2007 Pamela Campbell 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have owned this machine for 20 years and love it. 1 motor repair & 1 new bowl are all the additional $$ I've spent on the machine. I use it daily to process everything from cake batter to bread to grating cheese. It is an indispensable item in my kitchen.
