I recieved my Kitchenaid Food Processor Acessory storage case today. I'm really not impressed at all with it. First it only holds a total of three disc ( I tried to find out how many it held and couldn't find it anywhere in the description)( I have a total of 7 disc)and one of the pieces that is suppose to fit in it is lined up wrong so it doesn't fit in there. Don't wast your money on this like I did I figured Kichenaid would of made a better product for ALL of their accessory. Very disappointed in this product.
Surprised This is Made by KitckenAid May 20, 2010 Patrick Byrne (Austin, MN) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The other reviewer is right, this isn't impressive at all. One of the blades has the notch 90 degrees from how the post is set up, so it can't fit in the slot provided. We haven't bought any extra blades or anything, just the stock blades with our food processor, and this storage unit doesn't have room for all the blades that came with it.
Also, the lid doesn't fight on snugly, so you have to be careful when handling it or the lit will slide right off onto the floor.
We rolled the dice on this, despite the 1-star review, thinking it had to be better than loose blades in the drawer, but after receiving it, I'm not so sure.
alternative use June 6, 2010 SV (Colorado) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My case came free with the processor. I have the full set of discs and I don't like them loose. I put the clear lid under the base and rather then putting in a few flat I put them all in by standing them on edge. I can see which blade I want and protect my fingers. It's more convenient then unstacking to find the disc I want also. I would not recommend purchasing one. I do recommend getting the additional blades. I use my processor almost daily.
